So you mean to tell me that any game that doesn't have multiplayer, is because the devs are lazy? Multiplayer isn't needed in every game. They got all their early access money and there was no more incentive.Įarly access was the dumbest thing Valve could have ever done and I honestly blame them for this huge decline in the quality of games over the last couple years. I don't care if it cost 1 dollar or 100 dollars. In our hands-on at PAX East, we raid a convenience store for supplies, fight another survivor who doesnt wanna trade, and cap it all off by defending our ho. I paid 5 dollars for this game and I'm almost tempted to charge back just on principles alone. They can spit out all the generic excuses they want but it's pretty damn obvious. All of this is something you find in multiplayer games, and for good reason. Real time passing even when you're offline so the cpu characters can essentially starve and morale can drop even if you aren't playing. We expect Undead Labs to build on these systems for State of Decay 3 and, if the reveal trailer is anything to go by, there should be a greater focus on both exploration and combating corrupted wildlife – making the task of gathering usable sustenance all that much harder.Originally posted by Monostatic:There's no multiplayer because the developers are lazy and just wanted their money rather than spend the extra time adding the feature that the game was intended to have in the beginning. It's been five years since the release of State of Decay 2, a survival simulation which sought to let players navigate a zombie apocalypse by maintaining relationships with allies, managing resources, and establishing defenses against a surmounting horde of undead intruders. While Undead Labs is yet to reveal all that much about the State of Decay 3 gameplay experience, the studio is promising that it will be the "new ultimate in zombie survival simulation." As for what the "next evolution in State of Decay" will ultimately look like, we know that the game is being developed in Unreal Engine 5, with Undead Labs collaborating with Gears of War developer The Coalition to get the most out of the platform.
